Guided Recording Review

This tool does not analyse your recording for you. It helps you review your own take with clearer ears, one layer at a time, then turn what you notice into a useful next step.

How to use it

You do the listening. PracticePad structures the review.

The aim is not to score the performance. The aim is to notice one useful thing that should shape the next take.

1

Record a short take

Use your phone, camera, DAW, or any recorder you already have. PracticePad does not record or analyse audio for you.

2

Watch or listen back

Replay the take yourself. Listen for one thing at a time instead of judging the whole performance at once.

3

Mark what you notice

Use the checklist to decide what held up, what needs work, and what evidence the recording gives you.

4

Carry the note forward

Copy the generated reflection note into your dashboard so your next practice session starts with a clear next step.

Use this when

You have made a recording and want to turn your own playback notes into useful feedback instead of a vague judgement.

Listen for

One layer at a time: timing, accuracy, tone, feel, or dynamics. Do not try to judge everything at once.

Carry back

Save the strongest evidence, the most useful problem, and the first thing to test in the next take.
